GreenTable Program

HealtheClean is the only cleaning product & services company chosen for the Restaurant & Catering Association of Australia's (R&CA) Green Table Australia Initiative.

The scheme, created by R&CA, is based on the successful Green Table program in Canada and intends to recognise restaurants & catering businesses that are actively working to reduce their CO2 emissions.

The program requires restaurants, cafes and caterers to commit to: -

• use natural gas or a minimum of 20% green electricity to power their stoves;
• send their organic waste to compost;
• recycle paper, plastic, glass & metal as much as possible;
• use energy-efficient equipment & lighting;
• use water-saving equipment & fixtures &;
• use recycled, biodegradable & non-toxic supplies.

Phase I of the program requires businesses to meet minimum requirements in the areas of water & energy saving, waste management & supplies. The program actually sets these requirements, to allow as many as possible of the industry’s small businesses to subscribe. By subscribing to Green Table Australia, businesses can reduce their impact on the environment without onerous costs in time, space or labour.

Phase II of the program considers how businesses can further reduce their omissions &/or purchase offsets.

As part of the Green Table Australia initiative, R&CA has publicly acknowledged the support of HealtheClean in helping businesses to become more environmental friendly.
